About the college
Six decades of learning on a green 26-acre campus
Founded by the Pollachi Kalvi Kazhagam through the vision of Thiru S.P. Nallamuthu Gounder and Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam, the College was inaugurated on 12 July 1957 with 160 students. It became a degree college in 1959, a postgraduate institution in 1979 and an autonomous college in 1987.
Today NGM College offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in arts, science, commerce and management, and is accredited with NAAC’s highest grade, A++.
