Today, the Commerce Industry has modeled as a single Global Market due to Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization. Hence, the technological development leads to the need for computer assisted training and profession oriented skill development.The thirst for higher studies was fulfilled by introducing M.Com-CA Programme during the Academic Year 2011-’12.  The department has more than 400 passed out students. The department actively involves itself in various innovative academic enrichment, student care programmes and extension activities and thereby is one among the leading department in the Institution.

The Department of Commerce with Computer Applications has been established with the motto of providing quality education in Commerce with ample Computer knowledge to make the Students face the ever growing corporate challenges with moral values.

ITALIC (Information Technologists and Leaders in Commerce), is an association started for the department students. The association was started with a desire to develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills among the students.

The M.COM (CA) Programme describes accomplishments that graduates are expected to attain within five to seven years after graduation
PEO1 With the practical knowledge graduates will be able to work in the field of share market, tax filing and other finance related services.
PEO2 Graduates will adapt to recent changes in marketing, human resource, business environment and investment of securities.
PEO3 Graduates will involve in lifelong learning to adapt the technological advancement in the emerging areas of computer applications.
PEO4 Graduates will be able to pursue advance degree/ higher studies.
PEO5 With multidisciplinary knowledge, hands on training and project experience graduates will be able to meet industrial needs.
